According to the forecast of EUSPA*, by 2031 the global remote sensing market will more than double. A little less than half of the market is in the USA. The main growth of the global market is expected due to remote sensing data services and analytics.
As follows from the presentation of the Sitronics Group, the annual need of the FOIV for remote sensing data is 4552 million km2 and these needs are growing year by year due to the improvement of data analysis technologies, the expansion of the range of tasks to be solved.
The existing Russian state grouping cannot provide all the needs.
As part of the work with the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation to fulfill the instructions of the Chairman of the Government of Russia Mikhail Mishustin following the results of the conference "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia" (June 18, 2022), the requirements for remote sensing data from the following FOIV were received: Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Agriculture and Rosreestr.
The received requirements of the FOIV for remote sensing data significantly exceed the estimates of the Roscosmos Group of Companies, especially in terms of providing radar data necessary for daily surveying of the Northern Sea Route in order to ensure the safety of navigation. The creation of SITRONICS spacecraft groupings is reasonable and timely and will increase the availability of the necessary data to the FIV.
