VEB State Corporation.The Russian Federation has agreed with Sberbank to purchase its 25% stake in the Prosveshchenie group of companies. Five sources, including interlocutors close to both sides of the deal, told Vedomosti about this. Three of them know that the deal has already been closed. Thus, VEB's stake in Prosveshchenie has grown to 50%.
Prosveshchenie is the largest player in the Russian educational literature market. The revenue of JSC Prosveshchenie according to RAS in 2023 amounted to 21.8 billion rubles, net profit — 21.8 billion rubles. JSC "Publishing House "Prosveshchenie"" during the same period, revenue reached 47.8 billion rubles, net profit — 27.5 billion rubles.

The remaining 50% minus 1 voting share of the bank's authorized capital is owned by Russian and international investors.
