Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved the Strategy for the Arctic zone development and ensuring national security until 2035, the Kremlin press service informed.
The document envisages creation of specially protected nature conservation areas, creation of coastal bases in Murmansk region to ensure navigation along the Northern Sea Route and the development of the port of Murmansk. Small peoples will be provided with means of communication and mobile energy sources.
