Russian President Vladimir Putin extended until December 31, 2025 the decree "On the application of special economic measures in the fuel and energy sector in connection with the establishment by some foreign countries of the maximum price for Russian oil and petroleum products." The relevant decree of the head of state has been published on the legal information portal.
The supply of oil and petroleum products is prohibited if the contracts provide for the use of the price ceiling set by the G7 countries, the EU and Australia.
The decree on retaliatory measures against the price ceiling entered into force on February 1, 2023.
