Yakovlevsky GOK has allocated 450 million rubles to safety and ecology

In 2022, the Yakovlevsky GOK Severstal allocated more than 450 million rubles for measures to improve the level of safety and environmental friendliness of production. This is stated in the message of Severstal.

The most ambitious investment project of the past year in terms of safety was the purchase of roofing machines that allow mechanized way to eliminate the formation in the underground mine, thereby eliminating the deadly risk of rock collapse. 73 million rubles were allocated for these purposes. Also, to increase the level of energy security, Yakovlevsky GOK purchased five autonomous diesel generator sets worth 82 million rubles, which, at the risk of a power outage, will be able to ensure the operation of vital units for the mine, as well as raise miners to the surface in a short time.

In terms of ecology, the most significant was the mine water treatment project. 41 million rubles were allocated for its next stage.

Severstal is a vertically integrated mining and metallurgical company. The company's production assets are concentrated in Russia. The shares are traded on the Moscow Stock Exchange (CHMF). In 2022, 10.7 million tons of steel were produced.
