At the site of the International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM-2024, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Mosenergo and The Ural Turbine Plant.
Igor Makushev, Deputy Managing Director and Director of Construction of Mosenergo PJSC, and Dmitry Izotin, General Director of Ural Turbine Plant JSC, participated in the signing. The signing took place in the presence of Mikhail Lifshits, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ural Turbine Plant JSC.
The parties agreed to modernize three turbines with a capacity of 259 MW. The project implementation period is 2028-2030. These projects are included in the strategic investment program for the modernization of station equipment, which is aimed at ensuring reliable, trouble-free power supply to Moscow and the Moscow region. The capital will receive 777 MW of updated electric power.
The signed memorandum became the third agreement between the two companies. As part of the previous two, power unit No. 9 at CHP-22 was reconstructed, equipped with the world's most powerful thermal turbine T-295/335-23.5. The capacity of the power unit installed at a thermal power plant in the Moscow suburb of Dzerzhinsk is enough to provide heat to more than 300 thousand residents. The second memorandum is currently being implemented and provides for the modernization of five Mosenergo power units with planned commissioning in 2024-2027. The total capacity of the supplied turbines will be 1 GW. The first of the upgraded T-110/120 turbines was commissioned in June this year at CHP-23. Moscow.
"Life sets ambitious goals for us to modernize the Moscow power system and replace equipment in a timely manner. To do this, we plan to involve the Ural Turbine Plant, our long-standing and reliable partner, and will modernize the T-250 series of turbines. Thus, we will ensure the growing needs of the capital in electricity supply," Igor Makushev said.
"For our company, this is an opportunity to plan work in the long term until 2030. This is the third memorandum. I am sure that, as always, it will be successfully implemented on time. Thank you for your trust, we will fulfill the order," Dmitry Izotin said.
"First of all, I want to thank our number one customer, Mosenergo. Our turbines will become a modern and high-quality solution for the modernization of Moscow's heat supply, which already uses similar equipment. For us, this is the continuation of a large-scale cooperation and a long journey together. Now we are assembling a new generation of machines, and this guarantees the continuity and quality of electricity and heat supply to a large part of the city for the next 30-40 years. This signing is extremely important for us. I want to congratulate all the participants and assure our esteemed customer that we will not let him down," Mikhail Lifshits summed up.
