The State construction expertise issued a positive conclusion to OGK-2 PJSC on the design documentation and the results of engineering surveys for the modernization of the generating facilities of Novocherkasskaya GRES.
The document allows the start of the project for the construction of two new combined-cycle power units with a capacity of 165 and 324 MW. The power facilities are being constructed using innovative energy equipment from domestic manufacturers as part of the government's program for the modernization of thermal power plants in Russia.
The commissioning of new capacities of Novocherkasskaya GRES is planned to be carried out in 2027-2028.
