President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held a meeting with King of Bahrain Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa. The Heads of state discussed issues of cooperation in trade, economic, energy and humanitarian fields, as well as topical issues on the international agenda.
Following the meeting, a ceremony of signing bilateral documents was held. The Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Roman Starovoit and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Abdel Latyf Bin Rashid Al-Zayani signed Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of transport and transit.
The document will serve to realize the transit potential of the international North–South transport corridor, increase the efficiency of transport links for the organization of transportation of passengers and goods in bilateral and transit traffic between our countries.
