The Tochka A company, a resident of the Free port of Vladivostok (SPV), has successfully implemented a project to develop and organize the production of an innovative dispersant. The product is designed to effectively eliminate accidental oil and petroleum product spills in seas with varying salinity and at extremely low temperatures – up to -40 °C and has no analogues in the world. According to the agreement with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (KRDV), the investment volume amounted to 2.2 million rubles.

The product is already available to key consumers: shipping companies, emergency services, shipbuilding and ship repair enterprises, as well as enterprises with port and industrial infrastructure. The capacities of the SPV resident allow producing 250 tons of product per year with the possibility of increasing volumes to meet market demands.

"Winter is a critical factor in oil spill response. Most of the existing dispersants lose their effectiveness at subzero temperatures, thicken and become unusable. Our product was created as a response to this challenge. The key advantages of the dispersant include versatility of application for petroleum products of any density in water of different salinity, as well as stable performance in the range from +40 to -40 °C, which is indispensable for work in the Arctic, the Far North and in any region of Russia. The product retains its fluidity after frost storage, is ready for use with standard equipment and has all the necessary permits, as well as is completely safe for the environment," said Sergey Koshelevich, General Director of Tochka A LLC.

According to him, the company was able to create the production of a unique domestic solution that has no analogues on the market, thanks to the support of the SPV regime and the support of the CRDV.

"The SPV resident scientific and production company specializes in the development and production of innovative solutions in the field of industrial chemistry and environmental safety. The development of an oil spill response product is an important step to ensure the environmental safety of marine areas, especially in harsh climatic conditions. KRDV provides comprehensive support to the project, ensuring the application of tax incentives and administrative preferences, and helps in product promotion," said Sergey Skali, Deputy General Director of KRDV for Investment Project Support.
