Dmitry Pumpyansky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK), demonstrated the modern capacities of the Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant (ChTPZ) to State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Viktor Yevtukhov and State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Alexey Sazanov.

During the working visit, the guests got acquainted with the production of large-diameter pipes in the shop "Height 239" with a capacity of 1 million tons of pipes per year. The workshop is equipped with high-tech automated equipment, including two step molding presses capable of producing pipes 12 and 18 meters long, as well as an edge bending press for working with metal sheets up to 48 mm thick.

The delegation also visited the ETERNO enterprise located on the territory of the ChTPZ, which produces welded pipe parts and customized products of a new line of heavy machinery. ETERNO's capacities allow performing more than 50 technological operations at temperatures from +20 to +1,050 degrees Celsius, working with metal and rolled metal up to 200 mm thick, up to 4,500 mm wide and up to 30,000 mm long.

Representatives of federal ministries highly appreciated the capabilities of ChTPZ, noting the innovative nature of production, high professionalism of employees and extensive experience of the company's participation in large-scale Russian and international infrastructure projects.

"We see that Russian metallurgists are investing very seriously in the creation of new modern and environmentally friendly industries, investing not only in the latest technologies, but also in the organization of labor. TMK is the world leader in the pipe sub-industry. Now it is not only the largest pipe production company, but also a machine-building giant. The company's products are supplied for various industries, and not only to meet the needs of the oil and gas complex. Such enterprises form a certain industrial cluster around themselves in the regions of their presence: small companies for the production of related equipment, components and software appear, additional employment and new production facilities are created. This is very important," Viktor Yevtukhov said.

"Today we had a familiarization visit to the Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant to see the production technologies and products, to find out the tasks that are currently facing for the further development of the enterprise. Last year, a significant adjustment of the tax regime for the metallurgical industry was implemented. It is important for us to see on the ground how these tax changes will affect production facilities, which will show their implementation in practice," Alexey Sazanov stressed.

"This visit is very important for us. We communicate with our relevant ministry — the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia — almost daily on a number of issues. We are also very pleased that the leadership of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation took part in the visit. Colleagues are not indifferent to the results of their activities, so we organized a trip to TMK plants for them. Today at the ChTPZ we demonstrate the production of large diameter pipes and auxiliary products, such as connecting parts of pipelines. We wanted to show not only the most modern technologies that are used here, but also our employees: their involvement, culture and dedication. And it seems to me that this is highly appreciated by our guests," Dmitry Pumpyansky said.

ChTPZ has a high level of engineering competence and modern production facilities, which allows the company to supply large-diameter pipes for the largest infrastructure projects in Russia, such as the Power of Siberia, the Arctic Purple and a number of projects abroad.

TMK ETERNO's portfolio includes several dozen implemented engineering solutions of a new product line of heavy machinery. The products were used to modernize the equipment of Severstal, Mechel Group, NLMK Group, Aksu Ferroalloy Plant in Kazakhstan. High-tech products manufactured by TMK ETERNO are also used in the nuclear industry: during the construction of the Akkuyu NPP in Turkey and the Kursk NPP in Russia.
