The Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) awarded three students of the MISIS University of Science and Technology the Alexander Deineko Scholarship as part of the celebration of the Day of Russian Students. Scholarships are awarded to students who have shown excellent results in academic and scientific activities.

This year, the holders of the nominal scholarship were undergraduate students Sofia Rosolenko and Alexander Ushakov, studying in the profile of "Materials Technology" in the field of Metallurgy, as well as graduate student Oleg Strakhov, studying in the profile of "Deformation processing of metals and alloys" in the same direction. The candidates of the fellows were proposed by the Department of Metalworking at MISIS, whose teachers noted the high academic performance of the nominees, their research work and active participation in scientific championships, conferences and Olympiads.

Personal certificates of awarding scholarships were presented by Igor Pyshmintsev, Director of Scientific Work at TMK.

"The future in science and modern manufacturing belongs to people who are interested in the results of their work, in innovative ideas, ready to develop and expand their horizons. TMK actively cooperates with educational institutions to identify talented students who have motivation and a keen interest in working at metallurgical enterprises. We are ready to support promising young people and create conditions for maximum immersion in the specifics of our activities. Personal scholarships are part of this kind of work. They are followed by closer cooperation with educational institutions and students themselves, who get the opportunity to get acquainted with our business processes and participate in TMK corporate events," Igor Pyshmintsev said.

The nominal scholarship was established by TMK in 2013 in honor of Alexander Dmitrievich Deineko, Honored Metallurgist of the Russian Federation, graduate of MISIS in 1971, head of the Pipe Industry Development Fund from 2003 to 2013. The scholarship is awarded in order to support and encourage talented students, and TMK also provides scholarship holders with the opportunity to complete an internship at its enterprises.
