At the meeting of the Board of Directors of Tatneftekhiminvest Holding, the progress of the project on the disposal of hazardous medical waste using plasma chemical destruction technology was reviewed. This is stated in the message of RUSNANO.

The key technologies for this project will be supplied by the Russian company ETHER.

Tatarstan will become the first Russian region where a comprehensive system of accounting, transportation and disposal of hazardous medical waste will be created. Currently, within the framework of the approved roadmap, a cloud-based information system for monitoring the treatment of medical waste is being launched in the Republic, covering state, municipal and private clinics. It will allow you to monitor the accumulation of waste in medical organizations in real time, generate applications for their removal, neutralization and disposal, as well as control the destruction process itself.

For waste disposal at two sites — in In Kazan and Zainsk, plants will be built on the basis of plasma chemical destruction plants. Its advantages include minimal ash content and the absence of harmful emissions, the capacity of the plants will allow processing up to 10 thousand tons of hazardous medical waste. B and C, including syringes, needles, dressing materials.
