AmRest Group has announced the conclusion of a purchase and sale agreement with Almira LLC on the sale of its KFC restaurant business in Russia. As a reward for the transaction, AmRest expects to receive at least 100 million euros. This is stated in the company's message.

The completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the antimonopoly authority of Russia, the consent of YUM! Brands Inc. and other regulatory bodies that may apply in Russia.

The final terms of the transaction, which depend on certain external factors, including the exchange rate, will be communicated if the transaction is closed.

According to AmRest estimates, after the recognition of the impairment of the Russian business in the consolidated financial statements as of June 30, 2022, the completion of the transaction will not require additional adjustments.
