FBU "GKZ" estimated reserves of deposits in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan

The State Commission on Mineral Reserves, which is under the jurisdiction of the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use, assessed the Koktala group of bauxite deposits in Kazakhstan and the Chorraga gold deposit in Tajikistan. This is reported by Rosnedra.

Experts of the State Commission on Reserves concluded that the bauxite deposit in Kostanay region belongs to a large category and estimated the mineral reserves at 130-150 million tons.

The survey of the Chorraga gold deposits showed that the quantitative assessment of the object is 50 tons of gold, according to the forecast resources, the deposit belongs to the categories P2+P3.

As the evaluation of the deposits showed, the objects of the Koktala Group have great prospects for further attracting investments, and the Chorraga deposits have great prospects for interaction with geological structures of Russia and Tajikistan.
