German startup Neura Robotics plans to raise up to 1 billion euros ($1.2 billion) in a new round of financing to launch production of a humanoid robot. This is reported in a press release from Neura.
Neura intends to attract potential investors who will support the company's entry into the competitive market of humanoid robots designed to lift heavy objects and automate repetitive tasks based on innovations in artificial intelligence software.
Neura competes with several high-cap companies in the robot manufacturing sector, including American Tesla Inc., Norwegian startup 1X Technologies AS, controlled by OpenAI, and California-based Figure AI Inc., which intends to raise $39.5 billion for new developments. In China, 50 to 60 companies are developing humanoid robots.
Taiwanese technology company Foxconn and Nvidia are negotiating to deploy such robots at a factory in Houston, Texas, for the production of AI servers in the first quarter of 2026. In China, 50 to 60 companies are developing humanoid robots.
Neura currently sells transportation robots for factories and machines with robotic arms. In January 2025, Neura Robotics received orders for $1 billion from Japanese companies Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. and Omron Corp. and conducted a round of financing in the amount of 120 million euros under the management of Lingotto Investment Management, controlled by Exor NV as part of the Horizon strategy. The Volvo Cars Tech Fund and other investors also participated in the fundraising.
Neura Robotics is a German company developing robots, including a robotic AI system for the defense industry, which includes voice recognition, object detection, three—dimensional visualization, waterproofing, LED lighting, etc. The company serves the automotive industry, education, aviation sector, and healthcare.
