Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin presented the budget forecast. It involves the effective implementation of measures to restructure the economy and adapt it to new conditions, including: reorientation of exports; closure of production chains within the country; ensuring technological sovereignty. This is reported by the Cabinet of Ministers.
There will also be a balanced budget policy with a sufficient level of government spending to support domestic demand. By 2024, economic growth should be above 2%.
"The main parameters of the budget are formed based on the approaches approved at the meeting with the President, and take into account the proposals for additional revenues that were worked out on his instructions," the Prime Minister stressed.
In 2023, the total amount of budget revenues will exceed 26.13 trillion rubles. A slight increase in expenses is expected – up to 29.56 trillion rubles. During the entire period, the budget will be in deficit. The main source of its coverage will be government borrowing.
