Mechel-Service supplies 600 tonnes of rolled steel for Russian Post's new logistics center near Ufa

Mechel Group's metal trading company Mechel-Service LLC has supplied about 600 tonnes of rolled steel products for the construction of a Russian Post logistics center near Ufa, the company informed.

The columns and floor beams have been installed at the facility, win installation of steel structures underway. Mechel-Service has supplied about 600 tonnes of beams, plates, structural shapes and rebars produced by the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant (part of Mechel Group) to the construction site.

Russian Post expects the mail market to grow by 15-20% per year and is building a network of new, fully automated logistics centers in different parts of Russia.

Mechel-Service is a service and sales network marketing products of Mechel Group's metallurgical plants in the Russian market. Mechel-Service has 53 storage yards in 42 Russian cities. The company has 18 service centers for additional processing of rolled steel products.

Mechel-Service sells a wide range of metal products: rebar products (including cold-deformed products), standard plates, shaped steel, high-quality rolled products, Bp-1 wires, structural shapes, metalware, ropes, rustproof long and flat products, welded and shaped tubes, welded mesh. The company is operating as part of Mechel Group's metallurgical division managed by Mechel-Steel Management Company LLC.

Russian Post (tax number: 7724261610) is the federal mail operator being one of Russia's strategic enterprises.  The company's offices are currently active in China and Germany, with mail exchange hubs operating in Finland and the UK.

In 2019, Russian Post's revenue from the international business increased by 40% year-on-year to RUB 36 billion. The total number of parcels and EMS arriving from abroad increased by 6% to 3.6 million in 2019. Also, Russian Post delivered 436.5 million mail items containing end products.
