Omsk customs stopped the smuggling of 260 kg of black caviar to Kazakhstan. This is reported by the FCS of Russia.

Caviar was found when checking two trucks near the Isilkul checkpoint. In particular, 500 plastic containers with a delicacy worth 16 million rubles were transported without documents, hidden among packages with fish products.

A criminal case has been initiated. The carrier faces from 3 to 7 years in prison. Investigative measures are being carried out.

Earlier, restrictions on the air transportation of salmon caviar began to operate in Kamchatka. Until August 1, 2025, it is possible to export red caviar from Kamchatka by air only in the amount of more than 10 kg per passenger.
