Passenger traffic of Russian airlines on domestic airlines in January-February 2024 increased by 5.8% to 11.3 million people year-on-year. The average range of air transportation per passenger within Russia exceeded 2.1 thousand km. This is stated in the message of the Federal Air Transport Agency.
The top five airlines in terms of the number of passengers transported to the Russian Federation included: Aeroflot, Pobeda, Siberia (S7 Airlines), Rossiya and Ural Airlines. They accounted for just over 71% in this segment of transportation.
Passenger traffic at Russian airports on domestic airlines increased by 4% to 23 million people. Of these, the share of the Moscow air hub (Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo) accounted for 27%.
