The ban on the sale of securities of unfriendly countries to unqualified investors has been extended for another six months. The order on this will be valid until October 1, 2023, until the entry into force of the instruction of the Bank of Russia, which fixes the restrictions on a permanent basis, the regulator said.
The list available only to qualified investors includes: securities of unfriendly issuers; securities, the storage of which or the payment of income on which is carried out through the infrastructure of unfriendly states; supply derivative financial instruments, the underlying asset of which are these securities.
Unqualified investors will be able to purchase securities of friendly countries that are not accounted for through the infrastructure of unfriendly states, as well as foreign securities whose issuers operate primarily in Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union.
