The Government of the Russian Federation has approved a Strategy for the development of the communications industry until 2035. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
In particular, it is planned to continue to develop the communication infrastructure with the creation of fixed broadband Internet access for at least 98% of households by 2035.
It is planned to further implement programs to reduce digital inequality, provide modern communication services to industrial, transport, agricultural and energy facilities.
The document provides for the phased introduction of new generations of communication networks based on domestic technologies, the development of a domestic secure data storage infrastructure, measures to improve the reliability, security, fault tolerance of communication networks, the development of a domestic satellite constellation to provide communication services throughout Russia.
