The Government of the Russian Federation extended restrictions on the export of scrap precious metals on September 20, 2023. This is reported by the Ministry of Finance.
Scrap of metals clad with precious metals, waste and scrap containing precious metals or their compounds, as well as waste of electrical and electronic products, which can be processed to obtain precious metals, will also fall under the restriction.
The solution will increase the utilization of the production capacities of Russian refineries and the volume of production of finished high-tech products, the Ministry of Finance emphasizes.
