The Government of the Russian Federation has established the possibility of registering aircraft rights for foreign "daughters" of Russian companies. The corresponding decree was signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
Foreign "daughters" of Russian companies, in accordance with the decree, will be able to register ownership rights to their aircraft in the Unified State Register of Rights to Civil Aircraft and Transactions with Them. The basis for registration will be copies of constituent and title documents. Insurance, reinsurance and maintenance of the boards will also be carried out on the territory of Russia.
The decision was made due to the sanctions pressure against Russia, which also affected the foreign "daughters" of Russian legal entities. Because of this, problems could arise with the further operation of their aircraft. The signed resolution will help to neutralize such risks and will allow Russian companies to maintain a fleet of aircraft for passenger air transportation, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers emphasizes.
Earlier, the Government determined the procedure for the further operation of foreign aircraft by Russian carriers, establishing the possibility for domestic airlines to register ownership rights to aircraft leased or leased from foreign partners.
