The current account surplus in January—March 2024 increased by 43% to $22 billion compared to the same period in 2023. This is reported in the materials of the Bank of Russia.
The indicator increased due to a decrease in the deficit of the balance of services, primary and secondary incomes.
The current account surplus in March 2024 increased 2.6 times to $13.4 billion compared to a month earlier. Its growth is due to a significant increase in exports of goods and a decrease in the total negative contribution of primary and secondary incomes.
