The proceeds from the placement of the capital's green bonds were used to purchase 451 electric buses and build 48 km and 21 stations of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya Line (BCL). This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his Telegram channel.
This applies to two issues: the 74th issue of a City bond (domestic) loan in the amount of 70 billion rubles in 2021; the first issue of green bonds of Moscow for the population in the amount of 2 billion rubles in 2023.
The implementation of these environmental projects has made it possible to reduce emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere by almost 1 thousand tons, greenhouse gases — by about 42 thousand tons per year.
