Trade turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan increased to $5.8 billion in the first quarter

The mutual trade turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan in the first quarter of 2022 increased by 12.5% to $5.8 billion compared to a year earlier. In 2021, the mutual trade turnover exceeded $25 billion. This is reported by the Government of the Russian Federation following the meeting of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin with the Prime Minister of the Republic Alikhan Smailov.

Russia offers to actively develop investment cooperation. According to the Prime Minister, the international exhibition "Innoprom-2022", which will be held in July in Yekaterinburg, opens additional opportunities for this. This year Kazakhstan will act as a partner country.

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation also stressed that the countries pay special attention to cooperation in the field of education, science and culture.
