As Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sergey Levin noted at the opening of the mission, Russian-Turkish relations in the agricultural sector are actively developing. Last year, Turkey became the largest buyer of Russian agricultural products and retains its position at the present time. The countries complement each other favorably in terms of the production of agricultural goods. In addition, the geographical location makes Turkey an important hub in trade with the countries of the Middle East and North Africa. According to the Deputy Minister, the organized event will strengthen existing ties and expand opportunities for cooperation.
The business mission will last until May 22. It is planned to hold a series of round tables dedicated to the development of mutual trade in agricultural products, as well as more than 200 business meetings of Russian and Turkish companies.
