Passengers and employees of the air hub can directly reach terminals B and C directly from Moscow on comfortable double-decker trains. The official opening of the new railway terminal and the launch of Aeroexpress trains was attended by the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Saveliev, CEO – Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Russian Railways" Oleg Belozerov, CEO of Aeroexpress Andrey Akimov and CEO of JSC "MASH" Mikhail Vasilenko.

On June 1, a new terminal for Aeroexpress opened for passengers in the Northern Terminal Complex (STK) of Sheremetyevo Airport, and Aeroexpress trains in the Sheremetyevo direction began to run along the updated route – trains now deliver passengers directly to terminals B and C.

The launch of Aeroexpress trains in the STK became possible thanks to the implementation of a large–scale investment project of JSC Russian Railways - the construction of a new railway line and a station complex in the STK. The 4.2 km long line connected the current Aeroexpress terminal in the Southern Terminal Complex (terminals D, E, F) and the new railway terminal in the STK (terminals B, C).

"The launch of train traffic to the Northern Terminal Complex is especially relevant now. It is in Terminals B and C that all flights are serviced today. Terminal B is brand new, it was opened in 2018, and Terminal C – in 2019 after a large-scale reconstruction. And today, direct passenger rail service has been organized with the new terminals," said Vitaly Saveliev, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation.

"Today is a landmark day in general for the transport system and for the railways, because a new terminal is being launched, a new branch line here to Sheremetyevo Airport. The Moscow transport hub is one of the best in terms of comfort and intermodality in the world. Each element has its own meaning, is connected with another, while transportation is carried out both inside Moscow and in the Moscow region. In particular, it is important to get to the airport quickly, conveniently and comfortably," said Oleg Belozerov, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Russian Railways.

The Aeroexpress terminal in the Southern Terminal Complex (UTK) has become an intermediate stop – Aeroexpress trains from Moscow arrive at UTK, after which they continue to the northern terminals. Passengers can get off at the Southern Terminal Complex or proceed to the Northern One without a transfer. Parking in UTK lasts 5 minutes. Then the train goes to the Northern Terminal Complex, the travel time between terminals is about 10 minutes. In the opposite direction, trains run according to the "mirror" algorithm.

"We got the opportunity to launch trains to the Northern Terminal Complex in a very timely manner, since all Sheremetyevo arrivals and departures are currently transferred to Terminals B and C. Previously, Aeroexpress trains arrived and departed only from UTK. To get to or from Terminals B and C, you had to walk to the underground interterminal passage and use it – with a suitcase, this way is less convenient. The launch of a new railway line is a new level of comfort for air passengers and airport employees. Now you can get by Aeroexpress from Moscow directly to terminals B and C without transfers, traffic jams and stress, and the journey from the train to the check–in desks will take only 5 minutes," said Aeroexpress CEO Andrey Akimov.

The new station complex is connected by a convenient pedestrian gallery on the principle of "dry feet" with terminals B and C. From the transition, passengers get to the floor where the departure zones of both airport terminals are located.

The railway terminal itself has everything necessary for a comfortable stay of passengers – a full-length canopy is installed above the platforms to protect passengers from precipitation, a waiting area, ticket offices and Aeroexpress ticket machines, restrooms, turnstile lines, electronic displays, and a separate airport inspection area are located in the terminal premises.

For the convenience of passengers, a barrier–free environment has been created - elevators, escalators and travelators have been installed. Special cash registers and turnstile blocks, tactile tiles are provided for passengers with disabilities. Also in the new terminal, the company traditionally provides a free service for ensuring the mobility of citizens "Personal Assistant" - Aeroexpress employees will meet the passenger and assist in obtaining travel documents with the right to extraordinary service, assistance in placing luggage in Aeroexpress, as well as assistance in boarding cars.

Passengers are transported to Sheremetyevo Airport by comfortable double-decker trains, where there is everything necessary for a pleasant trip to the airport: soft ergonomic chairs, luggage racks, toilets, climate control system with air disinfection function, sockets and access to Wi-Fi.

The departure interval of Aeroexpress trains with the launch of a new terminus at the STK has not changed – trains depart every 30-40 minutes both towards the airport and from the airport. The trip to terminals B and C from Okruzhnaya will take 50 minutes, from Savelovskaya – about 60 minutes, from Belorussky railway station – about 65 minutes. Recall that it is possible to land on the Aeroexpress to Sheremetyevo from a number of stations of the MCD-1: Okruzhnaya, Savelovskaya, Begovaya, Testovskaya, Slavyansky Boulevard, Skolkovo, Odintsovo and others. You can get acquainted with the schedule on the Aeroexpress website and in the mobile application in the Schedule section by calling the hotline 8-800-700-33-77 (for calls from the regions of Russia and from mobile phones) and 8-495-663-84-10 (for calls from Moscow), as well as from the company's employees in the terminals.

For travel from Moscow to Terminals B and C, all current Aeroexpress fares apply. The ticket price does not depend on the pick-up/drop-off station and is uniform. The ticket price for the Standard fare has not changed and is 450 rubles. Group rates and subscription offers are also available. The cost of a trip at the Subscription rate to / from Sheremetyevo airport is 150 rubles.
