Tula-based Opora Engineering, part of BL Group, has completed the modernization of production and increased the production capacity of poles and masts used for outdoor lighting and communication lines by 1.5 times. Investments in the renovation of the plant exceeded 170 million rubles, of which 135.6 million rubles in the form of a concessional loan was provided by the Industrial Development Fund (FRF).

With the funds of the FRP loan, the company purchased a high-tech sheet bending press and organized a serial production of metal supports and masts on it to accommodate outdoor lighting systems, billboard structures and suspension of communication line cables.

Thanks to the new equipment, Opora Engineering has increased its production capacity at its plant in the Tula region by 1.5 times – up to 45 thousand units per year.

""Previously, during the period of seasonal demand, we lacked the capacity of the existing equipment to meet the demand of all customers. Thanks to a preferential loan from FRP, we promptly bought and installed a new sheet bending press. With its help, the volume of production will increase by 1.5 times. In addition, we have established the production of new products for ourselves – supports with a circular geometry of the trunk. This will bring a variety of forms to new lighting projects for urban spaces and highways," said Alexander Veryasov, Director of Opora Engineering LLC.

The company will supply the first batches of supports produced with new equipment for the reconstruction of the federal roads M-4 "Don", M-5 "Ural" and the construction of the M-12 "Vostok" expressway. Earlier, with the help of a FRP loan in the amount of 56.4 million rubles, another borrower of the Fund from BL Group – Russia's largest plant for the production of lighting products "Svetotekhnika" – launched additional production of aluminum parts for lamps in the Tver region. Thanks to this, the capacity of the plant for the manufacture of components increased by 15%.
