The Moscow City Tourism Committee and Intourist signed an agreement on joining efforts to promote Moscow as a tourist destination in the domestic and foreign markets.

As part of the events dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Intourist, the oldest Russian travel company signed a cooperation agreement with the Moscow City Tourism Committee.

The parties agreed to strengthen cooperation on the comprehensive promotion of Moscow as a leading tourist destination in the domestic and global tourism markets. The plans are to restore the inbound tourist flow and attract a new audience in the domestic tourism segment.

The agreement implies the continuation of regular monitoring and analysis of problems in the field of tourism and hospitality in Moscow at the systemic level, which should lead to the development of joint solutions to increase the competitiveness of tourist products in the capital.

At the meeting on the beginning of the summer tourist season, which took place immediately after the signing of the agreement, issues of the impact on the economy of Moscow, including inbound tourism, were discussed, priority tasks were identified to promote Moscow's tourist product among departing tour operators in China, India, as well as in the Middle East.

Alexander Musikhin, ATOR Vice-President for Inbound Tourism, General Director of Intourist, expressed gratitude to the staff of the Moscow Tourism Committee for their prompt support of business initiatives, openness and an innovative approach to promoting the capital's tourism products in accordance with the best international practices.
