The Radioelectronic Technologies Concern (KRET) has equipped two Ulan-Ude coal-fired boilers with electrostatic precipitators. This was announced by Rostec.

They trap more than 90% of the solid particles in the exhaust gases. It is based on the automatic process of electrostatic charging and subsequent deposition of tiny particles on special plates – electrodes. The equipment removes fine soot and coal dust, heavy metals and harmful aerosols.

Filters prevent about 8 tons of pollutants from entering the atmosphere.

In the near future, it is planned to equip three more municipal heating plants with new filters.
