Mechel does not plan to pay dividends for 2025. This is stated in the company's message following the meeting of the Board of Directors.
The shareholders will consider this issue at the annual meeting on June 30, 2026.
It should be recalled that Mechel's shareholders decided not to pay dividends on all categories of shares due to the company's loss in 2024.
Mechel is a global mining and metallurgical company. The company's products are supplied to domestic and foreign markets. Mechel unites producers of coal, iron ore, steel, rolled products, ferroalloys, thermal and electric energy. All enterprises operate in a single production chain: from raw materials to high-value-added products.
Mechel's loss in 2024 amounted to 37.12 billion rubles against a profit of 22.32 billion rubles a year earlier. Revenue fell by 5% to 387.477 billion rubles from 405.88 billion rubles.
Mechel's loss in 2025 amounted to 78.55 billion rubles against a loss of 37.12 billion rubles a year earlier. Revenue fell by 26% to 286.977 billion rubles from 387.477 billion rubles, EBITDA — by 86% to 7.7 billion rubles from 55.9 billion rubles.
By the end of 2024, Mechel is among the leaders of the fifth ranking of the largest Russian companies' responsibility to society.
