MTS PJSC has completed an inclusive professional retraining project for deaf and hard of hearing people to work in the museum sector. The program started in November 2025. The key partner of the project was the State Tretyakov Gallery, and it was also supported by the Svet Foundation and leading Russian museums. This is stated in the message of the bank.
The partners of the educational career guidance project were the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Garage Museum of Modern Art, the GES-2 Cultural Center, the Zotov Center, the Jewish Museum and the Tolerance Center, the Museum of Cryptography and the Museum of Russian Impressionism. These platforms were used so that students could learn from the experience of existing specialists and curators, as well as develop the concept of their own author's project — from master classes and excursions to a full-fledged public program.
At the end of the course, 13 people received the specialty of a tour guide. The new experience will allow graduates to create and adapt museum and exhibition programs for different audiences.
The course for the deaf and hard of hearing included 250 academic hours and five modules: "Modern Museum", "Deaf studies and self-education", "Guided tours and public programs for adult deaf and hard of hearing visitors", "Self-presentation and expressiveness in sign language" and "Programs for deaf and hard of hearing children and adolescents". Classes were held twice a week at various museum venues in Moscow.
