Norwegian IT company Visma AS has decided to postpone its IPO plans for 2027, given the uncertainty in the market. This is reported by foreign media.
Visma, controlled by the British investment company Hg Capital, was scheduled to go public in London in early 2026 and attracted 11 banks to place shares, including Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Morgan Stanley and UBS Group AG, as well as Bank of America Corp., Jefferies Financial Group Inc., Banco Santander SA, Barclays Plc, BNP Paribas, etc.
In 2023, Visma's value was estimated at 19 billion euros ($22 billion). In April 2025, Visma acquired a minority stake in the German-Belgian fintech company Acountable, which developed the first AI-based tax assistant software.
Visma's IPO was supposed to be one of the largest deals in Europe in 2026 and stimulate asset returns to the London IPO market, which is experiencing a shortage of new offerings. In 2025, the volume of IPOs on the British stock exchange was less than 200 million pounds ($274 million), which is significantly less than on other European platforms in Sweden, Germany and Spain.
