In the third and final reading, the State Duma adopted amendments to the legislation regulating the activities of Roscosmos. This is reported on the website of the state corporation.
In particular, Roscosmos is given additional powers in the field of the functioning of the Earth Remote Sensing Data Fund.
The state Corporation will be able to approve a methodology for determining the cost of a base unit when providing data from the Remote Sensing Fund, as well as determine the procedure and conditions for acquiring remote sensing data from non-governmental spacecraft for authorities at various levels.
In accordance with the law, funds received from private individuals as payment for providing data from the Remote Sensing Fund will remain in the Roscosmos budget, which will allow funds to be quickly allocated for the development of the domestic orbital group.
