The Metrovagonmash plant (MVM, part of TMH) and the State Enterprise Minsk Metro have signed a contract for the supply of 20 new Minsk-2024 metro cars (models 81-765.7/766.7) for the Belarusian subway. The new wagons, formed into 4 five-car trains, are planned to be delivered to the customer by the end of 2025, TMH said in a statement.
The contract was signed on February 27, 2025, based on the results of a tender for the supply of rolling stock for the Minsk Metro, organized by the Minsk City Executive Committee.
In 2024, 28 Minsk-2024 metro cars manufactured by Metrovagonmash have already been delivered to the Minsk Metro. They have been in operation since the end of 2024 on a new section of the Zelenoluzhskaya line of the Minsk metro.
The Minsk-2024 wagons were developed by the designers of TMH Engineering (TMHI, also part of TMH) in accordance with the customer's technical specifications. The construction of the wagons includes the use of components manufactured by Belarusian enterprises: vibration dampers, interior and driver's cabin lighting elements, windscreen wipers, and an on-board traffic safety system.
