Gazprom Neft's Moscow refinery has received the final batch of modern large-scale equipment for the construction of a deep oil refining complex. The future complex will complete the modernization of the Moscow Refinery, ensuring waste-free processing of heavy oil residues into fuel and petroleum coke necessary for the metallurgical industry. The equipment was delivered from Volgograd, where it was manufactured by a Russian engineering company.

The 2.5 thousand km long column weighing 368 tons and 56 meters long overcame the route in 21 days. The water part of the route from the port of Volgograd to a special berth next to the Moscow Refinery passed along the Volga, the Moscow Canal and the Moskva River. The equipment was delivered to the installation site at the enterprise using wheeled platforms with increased lifting capacity.

The rectification column made of high-strength steel was delivered by specialists from Gazpromneft—Supply, the company's own procurement and logistics operator. The equipment is designed and manufactured according to an individual project. The column is made of steel with a layer of corrosion-resistant heat-resistant coating, which guarantees reliable operation throughout the entire service life. The procurement and delivery processes, as well as the control of the production of large-sized equipment, were accompanied by the Isource digital platform.

"The delivered equipment is the basis of the future complex of deep oil refining, the final project of a large–scale modernization of our enterprise. The modernization that Gazprom Neft has been continuing since 2011 has already made the Moscow Refinery one of the world leaders in terms of environmental performance. And with its completion, the company will reach the maximum oil refining depth of almost 100%, which means an increase in the production of fuel and other petroleum products without increasing the volume of refining."
Vitaly Zuber, General Director of the Moscow Oil Refinery
"We have accumulated extensive experience in implementing logistics projects of varying complexity throughout Russia. The delivery of the column for the Moscow Refinery required careful planning, so we started preparations in six months. The use of modern services and tools allowed us to create the optimal route and ensure timely delivery. The implementation of such a large-scale project has once again confirmed the competence of Gazpromneft-Supply as one of the leading logistics operators of the country's fuel and energy complex."
Evgeny Bragar, General Director of Gazpromneft-Supply
