GC "A101" will begin construction of a retro car museum in the sports and event cluster "Prokshino" this year. The operator of the facility will be the famous Moscow museum "Cars of the World". This was announced at the XXVII International Exhibition of Architecture and Design "ARCH Moscow" by Pavel Bryzgalov, head of the product development department of A101 Group of Companies.
"The architects of the project were the specialists of the Blank Architects bureau, which also developed the arch-landing concept of the entire cluster. Currently, the design of the museum is fully completed, the documentation is undergoing examination and all the necessary approvals. We plan to enter the construction site in the third quarter of 2022," he said.
The exhibition area of the facility will be about 5 thousand square meters. meters. The rotating exhibition will introduce visitors to the history of the world automotive industry and will include unique photo zones with the possibility of shooting in the interior of a retro car. It is planned to regularly organize cultural and educational events for visitors — lectures, festivals, film screenings, creative meetings. The future museum will be an active participant in car rallies, car rallies and various automobile club communities.
The Museum of retro cars will be located in the sports and event cluster "Prokshino", in close proximity to its anchor sports facilities – an all-season resort with a ski slope and an aqua resort with a professional diving center and a surfing center.
The key idea of the museum's project is movement embodied in architecture. The two-storey building has strict straight lines, while the rooms with windows on the roof are similar to the air intakes of a racing car. The facades of the building are stylized as a radiator grille, and the media screen mounted on the roof resembles a wave or a fluttering shawl.
The first level of the building has panoramic glazing, which will allow guests of the sports and event cluster "Prokshino" to look into the museum space from the street. The second tier of the facade will be located on the same level with the motorway – and for drivers and passengers, due to the use of curved twisted lamellas in the facade design, a visual effect of the dynamics of the building will be created. In addition, additional space for temporary summer pavilions has been designed on the roof of the building.
The sports and event cluster "Prokshino" is being created by GC "A101" in the Novomoskovskiy district of Moscow, in close proximity to the metro station "Prokshino" of the Sokolnicheskaya line. The cluster will offer visitors more than 50 leisure options, classes in more than 30 sports at the amateur and professional level.
