Segezha Group (MOEX: SGZH) continues to implement an investment program to upgrade the fleet of logging and logging equipment in the Siberia division. The European and American car industries are being replaced by South Korean and Chinese brands. In June, three units of special equipment arrived at the company's timber processing plant in the Irkutsk region – Tairiku-Igirma Group LLC: two Hyundai front loaders and one SANY Heavy Industry forklift.
The front loader is designed for grabbing, loading and transporting materials, performing quarry and earthmoving operations. A forklift is required for loading and unloading operations, moving and storing pallets. Special equipment is characterized by compact size, maneuverability, high power and versatility of application.
"We regularly update specialized equipment at our enterprise. Last year, the company acquired 17 logging trucks, and in February 2024, the first dump truck from the Chinese manufacturer FAW 8x arrived. All vehicles have demonstrated resistance to high loads, in particular, the dump truck – due to the increased rigidity of the frame, reliable suspension and robust body structure. Now we have expanded the fleet with new loaders, we will test and verify its performance in the forest. It is important for us that spare parts for this equipment and its maintenance are available – this is the key to the smooth operation of the company," said Dmitry Gupalenko, CEO of Tairiku–Igirma Group LLC.
Segezha Group continues to upgrade its logging equipment fleet in the Krasnoyarsk Territory as well. So, this year, the second batch of six truck tractors arrived at the Lesosibirsk LDK No. 1 branch for forest resources Sitrak C7H is manufactured by the Chinese concern Sinotruk Group and two–axle semi-trailers - sorting trucks manufactured by the Novosibirsk Automobile Repair Plant.
The equipment produced by Russian and Chinese manufacturers has proven itself well in operation, including in difficult conditions of the Siberian winter.
