VkusVill and MEGA have launched a joint project for the separate collection of recyclables.
At the first stage of the project, bright branded devices with a unique design appeared in MEGA Teply Stan, MEGA Belaya Dacha and MEGA Khimki. In the future, the project's geography is planned to expand: eco-exchanges will be installed in 9 more MEGA shopping malls in St. Petersburg, Samara, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Ufa and Nizhny Novgorod.
Eco-exchanges accept the most in-demand fractions of recyclables for recycling: batteries, plastic caps from bottles and packages, as well as clean clothes, shoes, home textiles, accessories and soft toys.
The uniqueness of the project was the integration of two loyalty programs. Now, for one environmental action, customers receive double rewards from brands: bonuses are credited simultaneously to the VkusVille loyalty card and to the MEGA Friends system.
All collected recyclables will be sent for a full recycling cycle. Plastic and batteries will get a second life in specialized factories, and clothes will undergo additional sorting. Things in good condition will be cleaned and handed over to the wards of charitable foundations.
