Cargo turnover of Russian seaports increased by 2.6% in January-April

Cargo turnover of Russian seaports in January-April 2026 amounted to 288.6 million tons. This is 2.6% more than in the same period of 2025, according to the website of the Association of Commercial Seaports.

The volume of transshipment of dry cargo increased by 6% to 142.6 million tons, including grain – by 53.7% to 18.8 million tons, coal – by 4.4% to 63.7 million tons, ore – by 12.3% to 4.7 million tons, cargo on ferries – by 6.7% to 2.8 million tons. Transshipment of ferrous metals decreased by 7.9% to 7.4 million tons, mineral fertilizers – by 3% to 15.1 million tons.

The volume of bulk cargo transshipment amounted to 146 million tons, which is 0.6% less than in the same period of the previous year. Including transshipment of food cargo decreased by 12.3% to 1.8 million tons, petroleum products – by 9.5% to 38.8 million tons. Transshipment of crude oil increased by 2.1% to 89.5 million tons, and liquefied natural gas – by 15.6% to 15 million tons.

228 million tons of export cargo were overloaded (+2.8%), 13.6 million tons of import cargo (-0.2%), 20.7 million tons of transit cargo (-14.6%), and 26.3 million tons of coastal cargo (+21.3%).
