EnTrust Global completes acquisition of Offshore Merchant Partners

Blue Ocean Strategy, managed by the investment company EnTrust Global, has completed the acquisition of Offshore Merchant Partners (OMP) from the HitecVision company. This is reported in the EnTrust press release.

OMP has completed a transformation to provide customized structured finance in the marine and energy infrastructure sector. The deal is aimed at expanding its presence Blue Ocean in Norway, an important energy and marine hub, in addition to key offices in New York, Amsterdam and London. 

Watson Farley & Williams LLP and Wiersholm acted as legal advisors, and Evercore acted as financial advisor to EnTrust Global. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024, subject to the usual closing conditions and regulatory approval.

The deal is in line with Blue Ocean's strategy of investing in the marine and energy sectors. Blue Ocean has raised more than $4 billion since its inception and has been showing strong performance throughout the period. 

Offshore Merchant Partners is a Norwegian investment company in the maritime transport and energy service assets sector. The headquarters is located in Oslo (Norway). 

EnTrust Global is an alternative asset management investment company. The company offers various investment strategies, including private debt and real assets, as well as joint and direct investments. EnTrust has $17.2 billion in assets under management in 500 institutional investors in 48 countries and $11 billion in individual strategic partnerships. The headquarters are located in New York (USA) and London (England) with 11 offices in different countries.

HitecVision is a Norwegian private equity firm and provider of institutional capital for the European energy industry. For almost four decades, the company invested in the energy sector before focusing on decarbonization as part of the transition to clean energy. HitecVision has assets worth 8 billion euros. The headquarters is located in Stavanger with offices in Oslo, London and Milan.
