The French investment company Antin Infrastructure Partners has acquired a controlling stake in the American helicopter company High Performance Helicopters Corp (HP Helicopters). This is reported in the press release of Antin.

The deal was the eighth for Antin NextGen I's 1.2 billion euro infrastructure fund. Antin manages assets worth $33 billion under the investment strategies of Flagship, Mid Cap and NextGen.

Helicopters are becoming increasingly important in the field of public utilities and forest fire control due to their ability to transport heavy loads and get to hard-to-reach places.

HP Helicopters has achieved significant growth in a fragmented and underdeveloped market amid growing demand for mission-critical helicopter heavy cargo transportation services, as well as legacy infrastructure upgrades, electrification support, and AI network expansion.

NextGen invests in companies with proven business models and technologies that require significant capital investment and expertise to scale and transform into next-generation infrastructure.

Antin Infrastructure Partners is a French investment company in the field of infrastructure. The company invests in energy, ecology, digital technologies, transport and social infrastructure. It is headquartered in Paris (France) with offices in London, New York, Seoul, Melbourne and Luxembourg.

High Performance Helicopters is an American company in the field of trucking, utility infrastructure, and aerospace research. The company provides services to engineering, procurement and construction companies, as well as aerospace and defense enterprises. The headquarters is located in Redlands, California. The company is certified for the transportation of dangerous goods.
