Siemens Energy AG, a German manufacturer of equipment for the energy industry, has completed the listing of Siemens Energy India Limited on the BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited exchanges. This is reported in a Siemens press release.

Siemens Energy India Limited is now an independent company listed on the Indian stock exchanges. The listing of the Indian division of Siemens Energy is aimed at optimizing and strengthening the corporate structure of Siemens AG in the strategically important Indian market.

As a result of the spin—off and listing of Siemens Energy India Limited, two strong independent companies have been created - Siemens Limited, India and Siemens Energy India Limited, each focused on its own core business, strategy and capital allocation.

The deal is in line with the November 2023 agreement between Siemens AG and Siemens Energy AG to accelerate the business separation process of the Indian subsidiary of Siemens.

Upon completion of the transaction, Energy India Limited will remain a technology company in the industrial, infrastructure and mobility sectors. Subject to regulatory approval, Siemens Energy AG will eventually acquire a controlling stake in Siemens Energy India Limited.

Currently, Siemens AG owns 69% of the shares of Siemens Energy India Limited, and Siemens Energy AG — 6%, the remaining shares are in free circulation.

Siemens Energy is a German company that manufactures equipment for the energy industry (gas and steam turbines, hybrid hydrogen power plants, as well as electric generators and transformers). The company was created as part of the separation of the Siemens energy division into an independent company. Siemens AG retains 35% of the company's shares. The headquarters is located in Munich (Germany) with offices in 90 countries. Siemens Energy includes a subsidiary of Siemens Gamesa. Revenue in 2024 amounted to 34.5 billion euros.
