Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, suggested that African countries use existing project support mechanisms within the framework of the BRICS association. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development following a speech by the head of the ministry at the session "The BRICS Platform as a catalyst for Russian-African business cooperation" within the framework of the Russia—Africa summit.

The necessary support mechanisms have been established for the implementation of joint projects within the framework of the BRICS. In particular, at the initiative of the Russian side, the BRICS International Association of Special Economic Zones (SEZ) was established, and an investment navigator was launched.

This digital resource contains comprehensive information about domestic SEZs, their residents, available sites, investment projects, and current preferential regimes. The States of the African continent are offered the opportunity to integrate into this platform.

In the humanitarian sphere, Russia has invited African countries to participate in the BEST Platform, the BRICS mechanism for the exchange and implementation of environmentally sound technologies.
