The Ministry of Economic Development is creating an Expert Council in the field of limiting greenhouse gas emissions. This is reported on the ministry's website.

The main task of the council is to provide advisory and expert support to the climate agenda, including on the development of a voluntary carbon market.

The Council will prepare expert opinions on draft methodologies for climate projects, as well as projects that are planned to be registered in the register of carbon units.

In addition, proposals on regulatory issues in the field of limiting greenhouse gas emissions will be formed at the request of the Ministry of Economic Development.
