The law "On the Platform Economy" entered into force on October 1, 2026. Marketplaces and other large digital services of goods and services have switched to uniform operating rules since October 1, 2026, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the law, the platform operator must verify all partners – sellers and service providers – using state information systems (the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and the Unified State Register of Legal Entities) before concluding a contract.
In addition, platforms must verify information about products. In particular, to prevent the placement of unregistered medicines and medical products, dietary supplements, pesticides and agrochemicals, precious stones and metals.
Product cards should not be placed for which there is no information about conformity assessment, state registration or labeling.
Digital platforms for meeting these requirements are integrated with government information systems containing information on certification, declarations of conformity, state registration and product labeling.
To automate inspections, a single digital service is being created that will provide access to information from eight government information systems.
A trademark registry will be added to them in the near future. In particular, the service contains information from the Unified Register of Registered Medicines of the Eurasian Economic Union, the Register of Pesticides and Agrochemicals, the State Register of Trademarks and other information systems.
