Unigreen Energy has completed the construction and commissioned five solar power plants with a total installed capacity of 293.6 MW in the Republics of Buryatia and Kalmykia, the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Astrakhan Region. These are the first projects implemented based on the results of the competitive selection within the framework of the PDM RES 2.0 program (renewable Energy Generation support program until 2035), held in 2021. This is stated in the company's message.
The projected electricity generation by all five stations will exceed 470 million kWh per year, which will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 157.5 thousand tons annually.
Two new facilities have been built in the Republic of Buryatia — the Dzhidinskaya SES with a capacity of 50 MW and the Novobichurskaya SES with a capacity of 52 MW. With their commissioning, the installed capacity of 8 solar power plants operating in the energy system of the Republic of Buryatia has reached 217 MW, which is 13.2% of the total installed capacity of the region's energy system.
Borzinskaya SES added 60 MW of installed capacity to the energy system of the Trans-Baikal Territory and increased the share of "green" energy in the region to 9.1% from 5.9%.
The Krasinskaya solar power plant with a capacity of 63 MW has been commissioned in the Republic of Kalmykia. The Bogdinskaya solar power plant has provided an increase of 68.6 MW of "green" capacity in the Astrakhan region.
Unigrin Energy is a large private company in Russia in the field of renewable energy, which unites several production assets for the production of electrical equipment and equipment for solar energy.
