In preparation for the launch of the high-speed rail service, Russian Railways has started implementing a new educational program for current station attendants. The training was started by Mikhail Glazkov, Deputy General Director and Head of the Central Directorate of Traffic Control.

The advanced training program was developed at the NIIAS Training Center, the lead developer of the Russian HSR train safety management system. The course participants are specialists who today organize traffic on the railway network and in the future will be responsible for the operation of high-speed highways.

The training is organized in small groups of 10 people, which allows for personal attention to each railwayman. The program combines theoretical classes with practice at the specialized NIIAS training ground. The work of the RSDP was reproduced for the listeners: the real devices of the track infrastructure were replaced by digital counterparts, but the control system itself operates according to the same principles as on the future highway.

A significant part of the course is devoted to the interaction of station attendants with dispatchers and machinists, as well as actions in emergency situations. NIIAS specialists have developed about 600 scenarios for overcoming various non-standard operational events. This knowledge is especially important for driving at high speeds and on a busy schedule.

By the end of this year, 60 specialists of the company will be trained under the new program.
