The RuStore app store is adapted for blind users, as well as for people with visual and motor impairments. In the application and in the web version, all elements ensure correct operation with the voice-over tools.

"Now every RuStore user can seamlessly perform important store scenarios: download, buy, update applications and leave reviews. The RuStore development team worked together with blind and visually impaired testers to increase the availability of the platform. The application has received signatures that are understandable to the ear — users can figure out where they are and what exactly is available to them. We also strive to increase the number of applications aimed at developing an inclusive environment," says Oleg Afanasyev, RuStore Product Director.

To interact with devices, blind users use screen readers — programs that voice the text on the page. For their correct operation, the RuStore developers adapted the code by changing the markup of the elements, and adjusted the explanatory text for them. Thanks to this, blind users will be able to work comfortably with RuStore through a screen reader. For example, a voice-over app will help you download the app and pay for a subscription.
